Cancer Care Associates are pleased to announce the establishment of Cancer Care Moreton Bay, a comprehensive cancer care facility in Caboolture Queensland. Construction will commence by mid next year with patient treatment expected to start in early 2024.
This new development will encompass a comprehensive modern state-of-the art facility that includes Specialist Consulting suites, Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Pharmacy, Radiology, Pathology as well as access to cancer research and clinical trials.
Chair and CEO of Cancer Care Associates, Dr Tony Noun, said outer metropolitan suburbs and regional areas require greater access to high-quality and affordable cancer treatment:
“The Moreton Bay region is experiencing significant population growth. This new comprehensive cancer care centre is aimed at eliminating the need to travel to Brisbane, by providing a high-quality cancer service close to home. Our radiotherapy treatment service will provide patients with access to bulk billing to ensure patients can access potentially life-saving treatment with no out-of-pocket costs.”
Mr Damien Williams, Cancer Care Associates’ Chief Operating Officer said: “There is an urgent, and currently unmet need, for access to a high quality and comprehensive cancer care development for the Moreton Bay community. The Moreton Bay’s booming and ageing population does not have access to a local comprehensive cancer service and patients are currently having to travel significant distances for potentially lifesaving care.”
The development of the Cancer Care Moreton Bay facility will create a high-quality health precinct to serve the community of Moreton Bay. Cancer Care Associates prides itself on its highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing the highest level of personalised care.
