Laura completed her nursing training at Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga in 2005. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of specialty areas including medical, surgical and palliative care before discovering her passion for oncology nursing and joining the Riverina Cancer Care Centre in 2010. She has worked in a variety of capacities and management roles over her 9 years in Oncology and has been the Director of Nursing since 2017.
Laura is responsible for all aspects of clinical nursing including the administration of chemotherapy and radiation therapy nursing. Along with other key staff members she is involved with the ACHS accreditation planning and surveys, is an active member of the Riverina Cancer Care Centre Medical Advisory Committee and Quality Assurance Committee and is dedicated to ensuring patients have access to high quality health care that is in accordance with The National Cancer Institute and NSW Health policies and guidelines for best practice.
Along with her nursing team, Laura committed to providing holistic care to all patients and their families attending Riverina Cancer Care Centre and promote access to a wide range of supportive services during their cancer journey.
