Treatments
Sangeetha is a Sydney trained medical oncologist who provides cancer patients with a comprehensive service. Her clinical practise is based in Griffith both across the public and the private sectors.
As a part of her training, she has completed two fellowship years in melanoma from the Melanoma Institute Australia, North Sydney and gastrointestinal cancers from the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, Campbelltown.
Sangeetha treats patients with all solid organ cancers and regularly attends breast, lung, gastrointestinal, urology and melanoma multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT) across the Riverina Cancer Care and Griffith Oncology network.
Outside of work, she is passionate about dancing and actively pursues two different dance styles.
“Being in a position to be able to provide standard and comprehensive oncology treatments close to patients’ home makes me most happy. I feel cancer patients have enough suffering as it is and having to travel several kilometres repeatedly even for standard treatments adds onto their burden.”
